Q & A
Q: What does TuneSkip do with my music, video and other items in my collection?
No matter what iTunes is playing, if you dislike it, just click TuneSkip. TuneSkip will add that media to a skip list and play the next item. After that, whenever that item comes up again, no matter if it is from your playlist, random / shuffle play or even iTunes Radio, it will be skipped immediately.
Q: Will TuneSkip modify my songs rating in iTunes?
NO. TuneSkip will NEVER touch data from iTunes in any way. It does not even read your playlists. TuneSkip uses its own database and is just like a DJ who knows what songs you recently disliked.
Q: How do I add a song for TuneSkip to skip?
For your convenience, TuneSkip can be triggered from the resizable desktop interface, the dock icon, and the status menu bar icon. You may use all of them or choose the ones you prefer to show while hiding others.
While using the desktop interface, click the red logo button once to add the item currently playing to the skip list. Click the blue info button to toggle and resize the interface.
You may add the currently-playing media to the skip list by selecting Add current song to my skip list from TuneSkips status menu bar.
The recommended action is clicking TuneSkips dock icon, the red button icon. TuneSkip will beep after each song added to the list; this beeping can be turned off.
Q: My TuneSkip icon has turned from red to black?
The icon will turn from red to black when iTunes is closed, and a message will appear should you try to invoke TuneSkip at this point. Once you have started iTunes, all the buttons will turn red again.
Q: There is a number on TuneSkips dock icon, what does it mean?
Congratulations, that means TuneSkip is working and has skipped that number of songs for you.
Q: When I am listening to iTunes Radio, TuneSkip occasionally does not skip songs on my skip list.
TuneSkip is functioning normally. However, remember that for iTunes Radio, as per its rules, You can skip six songs per hour on each station. However, you will not be that unlucky as all radio stations were set up by you to play your favorites.
Q: May I create, load and / or save different skip list for different people and occasions?
